Bra inserts for uneven breasts

Almost everyone has one breast larger than the other, and for most people the difference is about half a cup. A regular bra hides it. A strapless dress, a swimsuit or a fitted top does not. The fix is a single insert on the smaller side, chosen for the size of the gap.

How big is the difference

Less than half a cup: a thin insert on the smaller side evens the line. About a cup: a padded insert on the smaller side. More than a cup: a padded insert on the smaller side and a thin one on the larger, so both sit at the same height and the padded one is not obvious on its own.

Which insert

The Sculpt Lite is the thin one, for a small difference. The Sculpt is padded, for a full cup. The Sculpt Petite is the padded one scaled to an A or B frame. Inserts are sold in pairs, so you can use one now and keep the second as a spare, or use both at different thicknesses when the gap is large.

Sizing one side

Size the insert to the smaller breast, not to the bra you wear. The size guide converts, and if the smaller side sits between two sizes, take the smaller so the edge stays under the breast.

Placement

Place the insert on the smaller side first, low, with the wide end under the breast and the tip toward the armpit. Press and lift. Then look in the mirror straight on and adjust height before anything goes on over it. The goal is two breasts at the same height and the same fullness at the neckline, not two breasts the same size in the round; under a dress only the front view counts.

Inside a bra or on its own

Inside your own bra or a swimsuit: the insert sticks to skin on one face and the cup on the other and does not migrate the way a loose pad does. On its own under a fitted neckline: the same placement, with nothing over it. Under a sticky bra: insert first, then the bra over both sides so the cups are placed the same.

The day before

Try it with the dress in daylight and take a photo straight on. The camera shows what the mirror does not. Move the insert up or down a finger width and shoot again. Once it is right, note where it sat.

Care
